Why is my Beetle's battery dead every 4 hours?

I would say either a bad battery or bad alternator. Take your car to autozone and see if the battery is dead and won't hold a charge. If that's the case, simply replace the battery. If that's not the case, take it to a shop. Probably the alternator.

You either have a bad battery or a very big drain on the battery. Have someone check your battery to make sure it is charging right and have them check the alternator also. If that is all fine then look for a light or accessory that is killing the battery.

This could be happening either because the battery is defective and will not hold a charge or that there is a short somewhere in the electrical system. Feel various areas on the fuse box and see if anything feels warm. then start pulling fuses in sequence to see if you can spot the culprit.
