What can you tell me about removing a battery in my new VW Beetle?

As with any vehicle, make sure the engine is off. Remove and restraint arms holding the battery in place. Remove the positive (red) first, then the Negative side (black).

Located under a black cover on the drivers side under the front hood. Remove the hood then loosen the battery terminals. Remove the battery from the tray and clean the tray. Replace new battery in the compartment. Clean the battery terminals and atach to the battery. Replace black cover and you're sone!

First remove the battery cover and fuse box. Then remove the positive and negative battery cables from the battery and fuse box. Next remove the clamp on the battery cover then the cover itself. Finally remove the hold down bracket and then the battery itself.
