Why does my dog like to eat sanitary napkins from the trash?

My dog used to do this all the time and it is gross. I think it has something to do with a dog's keen sense of smell. They are very attracted to the scent. What I did, is buy one of those garbage cans with a lid on it. My dog couldn't get in it.

If your dog is taking garbage and chewing it up, the best thing to do is really dog-proof your trash. Consider purchasing a garbage can with a lid.

Thank you!!! My dog does it too & it drives me crazy! Then he winds up throwing up the pad. Ugh!
