If your baby is sleeping on their side and they wet the bed, their daiper leaks out of the side. Find a better fitting diaper brand and make sure it's on snug enough.

I think it is because the flow of urine cannot be absorbed fast enough before it reaches the diaper's leg holes. With baby on back or front, there is more time/area for absorption. With boys, make sure penis is pointing down, not up toward the diaper's waistband.

When a baby sleeps on his or her side their diapers may get gaps in them which could result in them peeing out of the diaper. Try using night time diapers.

Sheer gravity would probably be the cause for this leakage. Always be sure that your child is in the right size diaper and that it is fastened snuggly. There are also diapers designed for overnight just in case your infant is sleeping for a longer stretch.

Babies cannot control urination. Thus, they are likely to urinate anywhere and in any position. A baby will wet the bed no matter how you put them in it.
