this pain sounds a lot like a minor case of heart burn, another indicater if it is heartburn if you feel the pain when you lie down or right after a meal. taking heart burn medicine should help to stop the pain in your upper chest. if the problem continues consult your doctor

It could be trapped gas, so that whenever you bend over it moves up into your chest and causes the pain. Could even be an ulcer.

A couple of things could cause this. If you have a pinched nerve in your upper back or if you have a pulled muscle. Another thing that causes that type of pain for me is having a muscle knot that sits directly next to the spinal column. Get a licensed massage or see a chiropractor for some relief.

If you feel pain in your upper chest when you bend over you may have a strained muscle in your chest. Rest your chest for a few days and see if the pain persist, if it does it may be something more severe than just a strained muscle.
