Why do guys pretend not to like someone?

Well sometimes it's all about being hard to get. Now admittedly sometimes it's not the best way to go about getting the girl, but my understanding of it is if a girl wants a guy, but can't have him, it will increase her desire for him. It's like a game of cat and mouse!

Because guys like control. If a guys lets his guard down and makes emotions known, then he feels as if he loses control.

Many guys will pretend not to like someone in order to avoid being viewed as "womanly. " Although silly, emotions are associated with the feminine nature. Men prefer to be viewed as masculine. That is also the reason "men don't cry. " Of course, they may also be playing hard to get.

Guys do so because if they directly say that they like someone, the person they like may feel that he's joking or making fun of them.

Usually, they will only do this if it is embarrassing to be liked by that person.

To protect themselves. To increase the sense of the win/conquest when they finally admit it. To test the other person by gauging their reactions.

Yes, it is a dumb thing to do, but it is probably from social stigma. Perhaps they aren't "supposed" to like that person.

It's a whole game of cat and mouse. Men like to lead Women on and later they find out that the guy liked them the whole time. This is just how men are.

That is so distructible... Take the iniciative. Try to act. Become someone you are not and incorporate that person. And tell him!!!
