Based on psychology, girls date abusive men because their fathers may have been abusive. Using this, people tend to date people that are similar to their parents. Also, some girls may lack a strong father figure, so they tend to hover towards abusive men since abusive men generally give off a strong first impression.

Some girls like bad boys. They seem more exciting and sexy. Some girls come from homes with abusive fathers and then start dating someone like dad. Some girls have low self esteem and abusive men feed on that and make them feel they cannot find anyone else.
