Why do beta fish rub their fins off?

That is not a common problem. Sounds like your beta has a parasite infestation. Recommend to go to a knowledgeable pet store and get parasite medication.

Normally beta will fight with brothers and sisters while they grow up. This make their fin holes and stuff. We can separate females to avoid this issue. Use methylene blue for its treatment and add half teaspoon aquarium salt to the tank. we should change half of the water everyday.
