Why are there blood blisters all over my dog?

Most likely this is due to an infection of the skin or blood. These kind of infections are often caused by hyperthyroidism or allergies. It also could be a problem with being over heated.

Your dog may have some type of infection. If it looks like blood under its skin,it is most likely blood. Your dog may also have small red spots that could represent heat, especially if he has been outside for a longer period of time due to a warmer weather change.

This could be caused by a bacterial infection in the blood and/or the skin, which is often a result of either hypothyroidism or allergies.
