Why are dogs' feet pink?

It seems like they should be a different color.

Not all dogs feet are pink. Some are more of a gray. It depends on the thickness of their pads and on the color of their skin and on how much they stand versus lie down, as standing causes blood to collect in the feet, giving them a pinkish color.

Most dogs feet are actually black or brown. A lot of times when puppies are born their feet are pink but that only last a few weeks.

The skin on your dog is different colors due to the pigments in your dogs skin. Darker colored dogs have black skin and lighter colored dogs have pink.

Your dog may have an allergy, licking and biting can cause them to turn pink. Try feeding it a high grade of dog food. I would also try giving benadryl.
