You could be having an ocular migraine. Some sufferers of ocular migraines report flashes of light in their visual field when the migraine starts.

I get that when my blood pressure is too low. It may be that you haven't had enough salt in your diet, so your blood pressure dropped.

Get an eye check up done immidiately. They can be chances that there is a problem with the retina or a more simpler cause is that you might have hurt your eye and the functions of the eye are going haywire for the time being.
