What colour wood flooring should I get?

I have a small living room with a small window, so not much light at all. I have a feature wall papered, and the other walls are painted mellow mocha and soft truffle. I have almost black furniture. The sofa will be coloured matching the feature wall. I want a light modern feel.

In keeping with your theme, I would go with Light Pecan or Light Oak wood flooring. It will bring out the decor that you all ready possess.

Since your furniture is dark and your space is small i would go with a light colored wood flooring, perhaps oak. The light color will make the room appear bigger.

It sounds to me like you need a light colored floor to help brighten the room. Bamboo, cork or other modern birch colored flooring would be the best option. For a fun look to pull in the color of your furniture, consider one of the exotics that has a light background and dark grain.
