Zachary Taylor was the 12th President of the United States. He was nicknamed 'Old Rough and Ready'. He followed Whig beliefs. Zachary Taylor had a long military career. Zachary Taylor died while holding the title of President. He only held this term of President for sixteen months, the shortest Presidential term and was succeeded by Millard Fillmore.
