What did President Bush's dad do when his son became president?

What did he do? Like any father, he was probably proud of his son. Bush I had a rough time of it as president and declined to run for a second term. He probably hoped that his won would not have a difficult time. The presidency may have been a job he did not wish upon his son.

The First President Bush was officially retired from all aspects in life when his son became President. He continued working on the "1000 points of light" charity he founded.
