Adam West played Batman from 1966 to 1968. He revisited the role in 1977's 'The New Adventures of Batman' as the voice of Batman and Bruce Wayne (it was a cartoon). In a 2005 Batman series, West would play the role of Mayor Granger and at some point, he played Alfred the Butler.

Decades before Batman fans marveled (no pun intended) at Christian Bale's portrayal of the Dark Knight--and long before Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer and George Clooney spent their time in the Batcave--Adam West wore the cape and cowl on the fondly-remembered TV adaptation of this classic character. Currently, Mr. West still makes voice-over "appearances" on the Family Guy cartoon show.

Adam West played Batman in the 1960's tv series. Burt Ward also starred in the show as his side kick Robin. There was 120 episodes that aired between 1966 and 1968.
