Adam West played Batman in the 1960's. There was a movie called Batman that was released in the 1960's. The show was something of a comedy with overacting being the standard for the show. The show was actually quite good with lots of tongue in cheek humor. Adam west is a Beta Theta Pi member.

Actually there was both a TV series and a movie during the 1960s. First, Adam West played Batman in the series and then reprised the role in a 1966 movie.
