If you just need to use a computer for short periods of time you can go to your local library and use theirs for a while. Otherwise look at garage sales and other thrift stores.

Check with local charity organizations in your town. Most companies make donations to the local groups then allow them to disburse them. The Salvation Army and Goodwill are good places to start looking.
