Chester Carlson invented the process called electrophotography that would become the basis of the laser printer. The first high speed printer was developed by Remington Rand in 1953. The sequence of printers that were developed in the laser printer field began with the development of the first laser printer in 1971. In addition, the inkjet printer was invented in 1976.

I think the person who invented the printer was like a really smart guy who probably had a smart sounding name aswell so that when someone says something about the printer everyone will be like Oh yeah it was that guy who made it.

What became known as the Xerox was invented in 1938 by Chester Carlson. It was called electrophotography, which was actually a dry printing process. The Xerox was used in almost every office building, by the 1960's. In 1971, a laser beam was added to the Xerox, by an engineer named Gary Starkweather. The first laser printer was called EARS.

The printer was created by a man called Barles Cabbage and he was a very smart man who knew how to make the printer, it was made in 1938. He was born on the 14 of the 7 1938.

The original printing press was developed in 1439 by Johann Gutenberg. Gary Starkweather developed the laser printer in 1969.The first dot matrix printer was developed by Digital Equipment Corporation. No one seems to take credit for developing the ink jet printer in the late 1970's though Epson, Hewlett-Packard and Canon all played major roles.

Speed erly printer scale in the unit of characters in one second. Today, printer speed is measured in pages per minute.
