Who invented the bikini and in what country?

In 1946, Louis Réard invented the modern bikini in France. He named it after Bikini (Pik-in-ni = "surface coconut") Atoll, its introduction on French beaches was like an atomic explosion. Jacques Heim, France, designed an earlier version called the "Atome", and Reard "split" it; other precursors date back to Çatalhöyük & Greco-Roman civilizations.

A frenchman Louis Reard invented it in Bikini Atoll near Mashall Islands in 1946.At that time that area was used to test atomic bomb

It was invented by a Frenchman called Louis Reard in the 1940's. The word bikini is named after a place in the Pacific Ocean called "The Bikini Atoll". This is unfortunate since that small island was the location for nuclear weapon testing.
