Who invented electricity?

No one "invented" electricity. Electricity is a natrualy occuring element. The person who discovered that it excisted was Benjamin Franklin. To do this he tied a key to a kite during a lightning storm and the kite got struck by lightning. Benjamin touched the key and got shocked from the residual static electricity that remained in the key.

The short answer is: no one. Electricity is a natural phenomenon. No person "invented" it, in the same way no one invented the sky or water. It has been discovered (famously by Ben Franklin) and studied and put to use, but that does not mean that anyone ever invented it.

As part of nature, it was not invented, but discovered. In the sixteenth century an English physician, William Gilbert, was the first person to use the word electricity. He pioneered the research into electricity and was the first person to experiment with the science of electricity. His printed text about it was published in 1600.

Benjamin Franklin tied a key to a kite. The kite was struck by lighting. So many people credit him with discovering electricity. However, scientist found pots inside the great pyramids they think may had been a primitive form of a battery that supplied light inside the pyramid. They have not been able to prove they theory.
