Who do you hire to fix engines on 18 wheelers?

Being a owner operator you need a reliable professional that will be willing to work cheaper than regular dealers or Truck Stop mechanics with the same results. What you need to do is locate a local ex owner operator who know's how himself or can reccommend one to you.

An 18 wheeler's engine must be properly repaired by a qualified diesel mechanic or it may be subject to stop at any weigh station.

you need to check with the dealership. not everyone that is a mechanic can repair trucks. trucks are more critical becauae of weight.

I would normally hire someone that has at least 2 years of higher education or someone that has been in the industry for at least 5 years. I would try to contact these people by phone or e-mail.
