Traditional beliefs have held that women have a higher pain tolerance than men due to their role in childbearing. New studies are showing that repeated exposure to pain actually decreases a person's pain tolerance. Studies have also shown that although women may have some biochemical advantages for dealing with pain, they also have increased incidence of chronic pain conditions.

The Childbirth issue is a joke, We don't know if men can handle childbirth because men do not give birth to children. On the flip side you cannot say women have a higher tolerance for pain because of it. Studies show otherwise.

Women can take more pain because their bodies are physically and psychologically prepped to deal with pain from a very young age. Women have the ability to completely ignore pain, as evidenced by women who give birth more than once, and women who go to work when they are having their periods. It's a fact.

Tolerance for pain varies wildly with the individual. There are both men and women who can endure a lot of pain with no complaint and a lot of both who cannot take even mild pain. In general, though, it should be remembered that women have the capability to handle the painful ordeal of childbirth, which gives them the edge.

I believe if a man could have children he would be able to take the pain just as well as a woman. We are all human but its a useless arguement coz men dont get pregnant.
