For self publishing Author House, Cold Tree Press and Publish America are a few. Otherwise you will need a literary agent to market your book.

You can submit your work to an agent; if an agent accepts you as a client, the agent will shop your work around to the publishers. Or you can self-publish through any number of small presses, but you end up paying all expenses and marketing the book yourself. Check the internet for local small publishers.

Publishers are interested only in profitable works. New authors find it extremely difficult, if not impossible, to break in. This is why self-publishing has become a huge industry.

You should do a google search of some publishers in your local area. Find their phone number and addresses, and send a copy of your work to them.

If you have written a book, you will need to find a publisher who specializes in the type of book that you have written. Otherwise, you can self-publish through companies such as Xlibris, iUniverse, Lulu, Outskirts, and others. Contact these companies and choose the best deal for the amount of money that they are asking for to publish your book.
