What are some good college majors to get into publishing?

Creative writing is a popular one. Another major could just be "English" or "Journalism". English would probably be your best bet because it is summarizing all of them. Becoming a Publisher is a business, so pull a double major in Business. Having Business and English will help you with publishing.

English and Creative Writing would be great majors for the field of publishing. You may want to get a minor in business or related field because publishing involves some business aspects as well. Journalism or other English related fields are also desirable.

To go into publishing a major in either Journalism or English is usually the best bet. Some schools offer courses in publishing, sort of business classes for writers so check your course catalog. If you don't want to go with Journalism or English then Business with a focus on media would work or even Public Relations.

You can really go into publishing after studying a variety of subjects, but probably the most related would be journalism, English or literature or some sort.
