I think Beyonce is ranked right up there when we speak of pop cultural "divas" in the colliquial sense. The public likes entertainers who are sexy, forceful, and fun. Lady Gaga is also making the climb to Divahood if she isn't already there!

Right now I would say Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and Lady Gaga are up there. Britney Spears is making quite a comeback right now, and is always in the news.
