According to NBC Oklahoma and Arkansas ranking number one followed by Georgia. Arkansas ranked higher in quality of life where as Oklahoma ranked hight in workforce.

Generally, the Southern and Midwestern United States have the lowest costs of living, because they have low housing and real estate prices, are close to the production areas for food and fuel, and do not have many large cities. The states of Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, Kansas, Iowa, and Nebraska have low costs of living.

Texas has the cheapest cost of living. Real estate is very affordable and gas is the cheapest in the nation as well. Cost of living is great in San Antonio, Tx.
