This depends on the product and the model. But Sony has been around longer, and has been considered one of the top brands for decades. In comparison, Sony would generally beat Aquos within class.
Without a doubt the Aquos is a much better TV. In the store the two Tvs look very similar and may be similar in price at times however the real difference is seen once you get the set home. The Sony screen works great in ideal lighting condition but if there is any type of low light Aquos is best
I would think that Sony will have better products, because they have put so much effort into name brand recognition and wouldn't want to ruin that reputation, whereas I have never heard of Aquos and can't say the same for them.
I would have to go with Sony because in comparison the colours are more vibrant and they have a superior line of televisions. While the Aquos isnt bad either I would stick with Sony, at least when it comes to TV.
