Where is the thermostat in a 2002 Grand Prix?

On a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix the thermostat housing is located on the drivers side of the block directly under the intake manifold opening. To access it you must remove the air inlet tube, the throttle boy assembly,the upper radiator hose, and finally two bolt holding the housing on.

If you can't find the thermostat, then your car probably doesn't have one because it was used and whoever had it before took it out.
