Where is the immobilizer bypass located in most cars?

The immobilizer bypass is located in one of two places on most cars. It can be located near the steering column. In this case it would be a small external unit with a plug leading to it. Or it can actually be inside the car's computer. In this case it would be a small chip.

Look in the owners manual it will have a diagram in it that will show where it is located it may also tell you a different way of turning it off. If that doesn't work you can either call the dealer or take the car in and they will make sure it is turned off.

no such thing as an immobilizer bypass. if your key fob will not unlock your doors usually you can put the key in the passenger door or the truck lock and unlock and your alarm should stop. More than likely its your key that has gone bad. Not your immobilizer.
