Where is the fuel filter located in a 1997 Mercury Tracer?

Underneath the hood on the driver side of the rear engine area on the passenger side of brake booster, mounted on firewall.

Well according to Autozone it should be under the hood. Look on the driver side at the rear of the engine. It should be to the left of the of brake booster mounted to firewall.

The fuel filter for a 1997 mercury tracer is an in line filter, and It is located underneath the vehicle between the fuel tank and the fuel injection supply manifold.
