Assuming this is not for a project, I would recommend Wikipedia. If this is for school, I would recommend the local public library. The librarian will be happy to direct you to the right section of the library, or to help you use the search function of the catalogue to find exactly what you are looking for.

Depending on how much detail you want to find there are a number of places to look. Try wikipedia or an encyclopedia for starters.
