What is some information on the Pleistocene jaguar?

I am doing a research paper on Ice Age animals, and I cannot find much on this particular one.

The Pleistocene jaguar was a prehistoric creature that measured over three meters long. The existed on four continents, from Africa to Asia, and could even be found in North America.

The Pleistocene era lasted two million years, during which a lot of animals became extinct and others evolved dramatically. What we call a jaguar today probably existed with another label.
