The "home" of a snake can be as varied as geographical location. Some snakes, like the anaconda, are primarily aquatic, using the water to help support their massive frame. Some snakes burrow down into sand and use it as both home and camouflage against predators and for ambushing their prey.

They'll live anywhere that's small and will cover them. Old burrows from other animals or under fallen logs, and even sometimes under rocks. Hidden in crevices. Then there's the tree living snakes that just seem to stay in the branches all day but will seek out shelter in the trees like a hole.

Snakes love warm dark areas to sleep in. Broken down logs, under porches, wherever they can find a nice warm place. Of course they also love places that have plenty of food such as barns and grain fields. Some snakes stay in or near the water all the time while others love extremely dry areas.
