Bowling was first introduced vividly back in the 1366 when King Edward the III condemned it, due to the lack of archery training by his soldiers. Bowling was discovered in 1930 by a british anthropologist, who went by the name Sir Flinders Petrie. Bowling mainly originated in most parts of Europe.

Ancient forms of bowling started in Germany in 300 AD, as well as in ancient Finland and Yemen. There were also bowling-type pins and balls found in ancient Egypt. But modern bowling originated in New York City in 1895. This was the first time the rules were standardized and bowling was established as an official sport.

There's no real solid definitive answer. Some say it was first played in Egypt, but there's no real proof. The first written mention of a bowling game is in England in 1366. But then Germany claims they were the bowling inventors sometime around 300 A.D. Then in the late 1800's it was introduced to the United States.
