Amtrak has ticket counters at many (though not all) stations, and you can buy a ticket there. Some Amtrak stations also have automatic kiosks. You can also buy tickets online or through a travel agent, or, in some cases, from a conductor on the train.

Amtrak tickets can be purchased online at Amtrak's website and at their stations. A list of station locations in the areas they travel is also easily found on their website. An independent travel agent can also assist you with ticket purchases and making your travel plans. An agent is a good way to go if you aren't comfortable booking online.
