To get an appraisal on a gold watch you can go to a watch dealer, clock maker, jewelry stores, and an antique dealer is great for items that are old.

A watchmaker who has been in business for a few years is ideal. However, any good jeweler will either be able to appraise the gold value of it or point you in the direction of someone more knowledgeable who could help you. Do not take it to a pawn shop to get appraised.
