Where can I go to obtain appraisals for model trains?

I have several model trains that I would like to learn the value of.

you can take pictures of your trains and submit them to an apprasial company for one. Or, you could box the trains up, take them to antique auction show and ask them what they think that the train is worth. It would probably be easier to check the company that made the trains to see how much they are worth.

Although you can go to a brick and mortar train specialist you can find a good appraiser at a good price on the internet. Write down the details and take crisp pictures and search online for a train appraiser. You can also compare what you have to what is for sale on a major auction website.

The first thing you should do is write down all the numbers of the trains and names. Then check the online selling sites to see which size you have. N H there are many. When you know what you have compare to going rates and completed listings on online selling site or contact online appraiser for an appraisal.

The NMRA holds model train conventions annually. I would suggest waiting for the next one, these people know trains inside and out.
