That really depends on what you want. A local discount store probably carries a few in the $10 range. Sometimes they'll even be sold in dollar stores. However, electronics specialty, and buying from major retailers online, will net you something with much more flexibility. Some universal remotes are computer programmable.

You can find a great universal remote at anywhere from Radio Shack & Best Buy, right on up to Target, Wal-Mart, and even your local CVS!

I have heard great things about Logitec harmony One! It seems to do it all. It will be able to control all of your equipment without needed a lot of remotes.

Walmart would be a first choice, although you can find a wide range of universal remote's at Radio Shack. You can also check local electronics stores, or search for one online.

Best Buy is where I got mine and I love it. I would imagine that you would be able to find a good one at any store that sells electronics. Be sure that you are getting a good one and can do most of, if not all of, what you want it to do.

Any number of department and discount stores have what you are looking for. Generally, these shops contain sections to accommodate particular search options, in this case: Electronics. If cost is not an option, avoid locations that may have faulty equipment such as 'bargain' and 'dollar' stores; while they may be inexpensive, there is no guarantee of fortune.

Go to any electronic store that's sells T.V.s and you will find a universal remote. If you have cable through a local provider most of their remotes are universal.
