When I play my burned PS2 game, it freezes. Why?

Your game system would have needed to have been modified in order to play the burned game. Because it wasn't, that is why you are not able to play the copied game. There is a chip that you can have input into the game that will allow you to play copies, but you might then have problems playing originals.

A copied disk is not made the same as a commercially pressed disk. Ps2s are not designed to run copied software. It is illegal.

Burned games, dvds, and cds often have mixed data or corrupted data. This is why it is always best to buy new or used legitimate games instead.
