Between the ages of 6 and 9 a child gets their first molars. Between the ages of 10 and 12 they get their first and second premolars. After the age of 13 the second molars come in. The molars can come in before age 6, sounds like it might be rarely though.

Every child is different. Six-year-old molars generally come in between the ages of six and seven. For some children, it is a very painful situation. For others, they barely notice it. Motrin, Anbesol (or Orajel), or popsicles are all good ways to help if your child is suffering

Six-year molars come in at "around" a child's 6th birthday. These are permanent teeth and do not replace previous baby teeth. The symptoms are typical of erupting teeth.

generally sometime when they are six of course if they were late cutting any other teeth they could be late cutting these as well. they may want something to bite down on though when they do begin to cut the teeth or they may come in and you wont even notice any change in them.
