A puppy should never leave the litter until it is at least eight weeks old. It needs that time to learn about bite inhibition and its mother also teaches manners.

the best thing to do is let the puppy breast feed for about 6 weeks. So the puppy should at least stay with its mother for 6 weeks so it can get its necessary nutrients from its mothers breast milk. If you need to get rid of it before make sure you tell the person to feed it puppt milk.
