It depends on how much the baby weighs, if the baby is under 5lbs they will need preemies. If the baby is over 5lbs then newborns will fit fine.

When baby's are born, they need diapers according to their size. Most baby's use new born diapers when they are born, but sometimes they can take a size one diaper depending on how bug they are at birth.
