Yes! Be on the lookout for any puss or drainage coming from skin, a staph infection would most likely look like puss filled pimples and such. Wash hands before changes

Yes, a baby can get a staph infection from a severe diaper rash. Our skin keeps the staph that is present outside the body. When there is a break in the skin, such as in a severe daiper rash, one becomes susceptible. Signs to look for: in an infant are severe redness, pus coming from the rash, fever, and pain.

In theory, a staph infection can occur on any skin surface that is irriated. Thus, it can happen with a diaper rash. This is uncommon, however.

The baby could get a staph infection from a diaper rash. Just be careful to keep the rash as clean as possible and wash your hands before changing diapers.

Basically you should keep the baby dry and watch for open blisters which would require a ddoctor to look at and see if the baby is allergic to soaps.

It is a common cause of skin irritation in infants, babies and toddlers. Diaper rash ointment or cream may be a better or safer measure for reducing your baby's diaper rash.
