Bad breath in an infant can be caused by the same reasons adults have bad breath. Bacteria growth is the most common. If the infant breathes through their mouth instead of their nose, their mouth will become dry and foster bacteria growth. Bad breath could also be cause by certain foods such as a lot of meat.
