What wood do you use to make headboards?

Any wood can be used to make a headboard. From plywood to pine to MDF, it all depends on the look you are going for. Painted headboards can use lesser grades of wood.

Any hard wood would work (maple, oak, poplar, cherry, etc.) to make a headboard. If your design was sturdy enough you could use pine.
