What will honey do to a dog if they eat it?

It may upset his stomach,but it's not life threatening. You may notice that he vomits or has the runs. Unless your dog is diabetic, then you may have problem.

Feeding just a small amount, such as a teaspoon now and again, will do nothing more than make your dog very happy. While there is nothing in honey that will harm your dog directly, it is very sugary so over consumption of it can lead to obesity.

Honey isn't toxic to most animals, dogs included. The most you will have to worry about his him being excitable from the amount of sugar with an upset stomach after.

Honey is ok for dogs in small amounts. It is not toxic for dogs in large amounts, it is just very sugary and will most likely make your dog sick. Too much of anything can upset your dogs tummy. This might give him diarrhea, be on the watch for him at the door!
