The Florida Ringneck Snake is black with an orange ring around its neck as well as on its underbelly. Also, the Eastern Coral Snake is black with orange stripes and a yellow ring.
Ringneck snakes are a dark grey or black and the Southern variety have an orange or yellow ring around their neck. The ring is positioned like a collar, that is just at the base of the skull.
