Buy some "Rit" dye. All instructions you need will be on the package. It will tell you how much you need. Be very careful as dye colors anything around.

There are brands of dye that you can use in your washing machine e. g. Dylon. Buy two tubs of this kind of dye in the colour you want - test one tub out on something like a cheap white towel first to see if gives the effect you're looking for.

The best way is to go to a craft store and buy the dye and follow the instructions. Usually, you soak the shirt in a bucket or run it through the wash cycle without any soap. It should be easy. It is also fun!

At the grocery store you can find these little packets of clothing dyes for just a few dollars. You mix them with water and dip your wet clothing in. You rinse it, then wash it and finally you're done. Just remember to dye your clothing in an old ice cream pail or something you can throw away when you're done.
