Pasig is a fast-growing commercial area that helps form metropolitan Manila, and was created in 1975. One of the oldest cathedrals in Manila, the Immaculate Conception Cathedral, is located in Pasig. The east side of this town is mainly commercial, and the Ortigas Center is one of the top business districts. Tagalog is the main language spoken here.
