Just remain calm. It's a standard test with rather basic questions. Most people score much higher than they realize. However, don't check the box saying you won't carry a gun!

Get a book with a study guide and practice exams to prepare for the actual exam. Allot at least 2 months to review and practice before taking the real exam.

First I would find someone who has gone through this process. Then I would get the required text books and study for the test.
